Which calendar is used?
The calculator uses the Gregorian calendar consistently from 1600 through 9999. Earlier historical places adopted it at different times, so old local records may differ.
Does timezone affect it?
No. A selected date is treated as a calendar date, never as a timestamp. Only “Today” follows your device’s local calendar.
What about leap years?
Years divisible by 4 are leap years, except centuries unless divisible by 400. So 2000 was a leap year; 1900 and 2100 are not.
